We Now Know Why Shane Wright Is Being Scratched In Seattle
Shane Wright's start in the NHL has been far from pretty. He's had only one point in six games, and he's been scratched for the past five.
This has led fans to serious anger with management, as they want to see their new shiny prospect play.
However, the Kraken's strategy appears to have been revealed.
While CHL players are generally not eligible to play in the AHL, there's a loophole in the clause that suggests that if a player is scratched for six straight games, they can be loaned to the AHL.
While this is great, he can only be loaned for 14 days. This now becomes a question of if Shane Wright will stay in Seattle for the season.
All things are pointing towards yes, however, management can still change their minds and slide his entry level contract down a year.
This will be interesting to follow.
