The former Toronto Maple Leafs emergency goalie is well known throughout the NHL. He was David Ayres. He is now a head coach in the SPHL.
The new emergency goalie is Alex Bishop.
Bishop is currently playing with the University of Toronto.
Jake Allen got injured in the first, so an injury to Montembeault could bring Bishop into the game. We've seen this movie before with David Ayres.
He has played since the 2014-2015 season with the St-John Sea Dogs, the Quebec Remparts and the Val-d'Or Foreurs in the QMJHL.
