The Bruins forward said his actions did not deserve the hefty punishment.
The ruling disclosed what Jarry said to enrage Marchand, admitting that he went at Jarry after the Penguins goalie said, "How about that fing save?" "
My emotions got the best of me, and I made a stupid mistake," Marchand said. He "admitted" to attacking Jarry and called his actions "stupid," but we all remember when he said, "So if that is now what is setting guys over the edge, then this is the softest league in the world."
It was way too easy to get Marchand triggered. No word on whether the Bruins' nemesis will now seek a neutral arbitration.
