Predictions earlier in the season had Johnny Gaudreau leaving the Calgary Flames to become a Philadelphia Flyer.
The Flames are anticipated to retool their roster this summer, and trading Gaudreau might be part of that. In the event that an extension cannot be reached, the team may attempt to move him.
I think it's time to move on from Johnny Hockey because the Flames clearly cannot get it done with the roster they have. They shouldn't touch Matthew Tkachuck because he is a player you build around.
Aside from the Flyers, the St. Louis Blues and New Jersey Devils are rumoured to have interested in Gaudreau.
Gaudreau, 27, has a one-year contract with an AAV of $6.75 million and a modified-NTC.
