After his team's loss to Canada at the World Junior Championship, Slovakian defenceman and second overall pick in the last draft Simon Nemec took a swipe at the Montreal Canadiens for not sending Juraj Slafkovsky to the tournament.
"I think he would have scored in overtime, but he wasn't there." - Simon Nemec
Nemec's disappointment is understandable, considering that the Habs deprived Slovakia of their best player and, more importantly, that he hasn't had much ice time in recent games with the Canadiens.
Remember that Slovakia lost 4-3 in overtime against Canada, thanks to an incredible goal by Connor Bedard.
