GoFundMe created to support the Gaudreau family after the passing of Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau
Less than 24 hours after the passing of Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Gaudreau the hockey community remains in shock but has come together in support of the Gaudreau family.
Today has been a tragic day in the world of hockey. In the early hours of the day it was confirmed that Columbus Blue Jackets star Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew had passed away.
In the hours since the announcement was made the hockey community has shared their outpouring of support and grief for the Gaudreau family. Players, fans, media, executives and many more have taken to social media to share memories of Johnny and Matthew and their impacts on the world.
Now the hockey community has taken things even further coming together to support the Gaudreau family as a whole. A GoFundMe has been created by Holland Korbitz a member of the Gaudreau extended family to help support Matthew Gaudreau's family including his unborn son who is on the way.
In such a dark time for the family and the hockey community as a whole it is always heartwarming to see people come together to honor and support those who they consider heroes.
