As the pressure mounts in the Eastern Conference, the Pittsburgh Penguins are desperate to shake things up.

If there's one position they really need to bulk up in, it's between the pipes. A new report indicates they might be going all-in.

One name has been brought up, and the timing couldn't be better. Thatcher Demko is growing unhappy in Vancouver, and he would be a great fit in Pittsburgh.

Does Demko want to be here? I've heard from people around that are close to it that Demko doesn't want be here. There's conversation in the background that Demko isn't enamored with the market, the scrutiny, the organization. Pick it, it's all of it.

- Farhan Lalji

Demko makes $5-million per season, while Pens goalie Tristan Jarry is a pending UFA who makes $3.5. The move would give the Penguins some more stability long-term, and the Canucks more valuable cap-flexibility.

If Ron Hextall could pull this off, it would be a game-changer. All we need to do is watch and see if he takes the leap.
