Shaquille O'Neal calls out Bobby Ryan on women's basketball scandal

The basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal called out the former NHLer Bobby Ryan for his controversial comments on women's basketball.

Yesterday, Ryan, who played 866 games in the NHL between 2007 and 2021 for the Ducks, Senators and Red Wings, went on a rant rant on women's basketball on X.

"Why does it seem like everyone is watching women's basketball??

Oh because EVERYONE is watching."

Bobby Ryan: "Name 7 players. Not 1. Not 25-7. First and last namesgo for it."

It even led to a feud with the renowned hockey insider Chris Johnston:

Chris Johnston: "Hey @Bobbyry5409, buzz off with this nonsense."

Bobby Ryan: "Actuallywatch this Chris."

"Hey Chris Johnson I'm sorry this got a little further than you thoughtwhile we use the word «nonsense» are we just going to skip over your conflict of interest? Or we gonna skip over it? Have a great night!"

Now, the basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal, got involved.

In a new episode of his podcast, expressed his love for women's basketball by mentioning that he was watching more women's basketball than men's this year.

"The boys s***, but I'm definitely following the girls... I don't think I even know any men's [players]."

Last weekend, over 12.3 million people were watching the game betwen the Iowa Hawkeyes and the LSU Tigers. O'Neal's comments only reflect that great popularity.
