The Canadiens have been searching for a new general manager since Marc Bergevin was fired. According to the group, the choice would be decided by Geoff Molson, Jeff Gorton, Michael Andlauer, and Bob Gainey.
Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reported further important facts earlier this week. The GM was to be chosen in January, however, it appears that the interviews of the 8 applicants have not been completed.
Due to the current situation, François Gagnon reported between the first and second sessions that the interviews should commence on Wednesday. The committee should thus interview each candidate one by one and select the best candidates.
Francois Gagnon reports on RDS that interviews for the Habs GM position will start this Wednesday. The interviews will be done virtually.
The Canadiens were able to make the Stanley Cup Finals under Bergevin but have since been struggling and will now find a new coach to bring them to the promised land.
