Nazem Kadri was traded out of Toronto in 2019 and joined the Colorado Avalanche, where he won a Stanley Cup. Now, since last year, he's been playing in Calgary with the Flames.

This year, things haven't gone smoothly in Calgary. There have been a lot of issues with Darryl Sutter, who was fired recently. In the last few weeks, many players have revealed that they want out of Calgary. However, that's not the case for Kadri, and he explained why during a recent interview on Sportsnet's Flames Talk podcast.

Kadri's Statement

It must not have been easy being a part of the Flames organization in the last few weeks. For Kadri and Huberdeau, who signed a long-term contract last season, there isn't much they can do except hope that the management deals with the situation.

Kadri has his own way of coping with the situation, and he revealed how he does it.

«I played in Toronto for 10 years, so I can shrug things off pretty easily."

This is a significant statement. He means that it wasn't easy playing in Toronto, but it made him a tougher player.

Some people might also think that he sent a little jab at the Leafs' fans and organization, as he obviously didn't find it easy to play there.
