BREAKING: Jonathan Toews' Future Has Been Decided
We now know what Jonathan Toews' future entails.
Toews Set To Retire
Mark Spector of Sportsnet recently reported that Jonathan Toews' name was not on the list of free agents submitted to the NHL by Toews' agency.
Word is Toews won't play next season. When his agency sent out its list of pending free agents, we are told his name was not even on the list.
This is major news considering the amazing career Toews has had and how far he took the Blackhawks organization.
Toews, the 3rd overall pick in 2006, spent all 1,067 games of his NHL career with the Blackhawks. He scored 372 goals and 883 points in that span. In addition to that, he has won three Stanley Cups, a Conn Smyth, a Selke, a Mark Messier leadership award, and is a member of the triple gold club.
