Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner Make a Young Fans' Dream Come True
Yesterday, the Maple Leafs and the Panthers played against each other in Toronto.
Florida isn't the biggest hockey market in the League, even though they have a strong team.
A young Leafs fan was all over social media yesterday as he traveled all the way from Florida to see his favorite players in action: Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner.
However, as you probably know, both players were healthy scratches and didn't participate in the duel. The young fan got to see a great game, but not his heroes.
The Leafs heard about this story and made an incredibly nice gesture.
Matthews and Marner Made an Incredibly Nice Gesture
They tracked the young fan down and met with him. They gave him a stick and signed his shirt.
This is what it's all about. NHL players are idolized by many, especially kids, and it's always a nice moment when they go out of their way to create unforgettable memories.
