BREAKING : Wild Star Forward Suspended Days Before Playoffs
A member of the Minnesota Wild has been suspended by the league only days before the start of the NHL Playoffs.
Wild Forward Ryan Hartman has been Suspended one game for an interference call against Winnipeg Jets Forward Nikolaj Ehlers.
Hartman was given a two-minute minor for the hit on Ehlers, which occurred in the third period of the Wild/Jets game, which led to a skirmish between the two teams on the ice following the hit.
This is the second suspension in Hartman's career. It was reported that Ehlers would be having a hearing and has since been confirmed Hartman would be suspended for Minnesota's final regular season game against the Predators.
Minnesota, who have already qualified for the playoffs, will miss Hartman for the final game of the regular season. Hartman has 37 Points in 59 Games for the Wild this season. The Jets did not give an update on Ehlers or his status.
