The Los Angeles Kings started their season the right way, but things took a drastic turn since then. They've even been complied to make a coaching change, replacing Todd McLellan by Jim Hiller.
Even if they're fourth in the Pacific Division, they have lost 14 out of their last 17 games in what seems like a true freefall for the Kings.
Before the season began, there were little doubts that the Kings would be a force to reckon with around the league. Despite trading away many key players, Pierre-Luc Dubois' acquisition was supposed to give the Kings the depth they needed to be a top contender for the playoffs.
However, he hasn't been able to keep up to the high expectations placed upon him and he couldn't turn thing around in LA.
According to a reporter, the Kings' management isn't happy about Dubois and how that trade turned out for them.
Dubois signed an eight-year contract in LA valued at $8.5 million AAV. In 48 games, the forward scored 20 points, including 10 goals.
On the other side of that trade, Vilardi and Iafallo are playing good hockey with the Jets. Vilardi missed several weeks this season after an injury, but scored 20 points (11 goals) in 27 games.
Do you think the Kings will try to trade Dubois before his contract ends?
