BREAKING: Rangers rookie ejected after dirty hit just 10 seconds into his shift
New York Rangers rookie Matthew Rempe loves creating chaos early into his shifts!
In his first NHL game at MetLife Stadium and his first shift, the 6,8 forward dropped the gloves with highly respected veteran fighter Matt Martin, something that earned respect from his teammates.
In tonight's game versus the New Jersey Devils he may have entered into suspension territory.
Rangers rookie gets ejected 10 seconds into shift
Matthew Rempe layed an extremely dangerous hit near the boards on Devils forward Nathan Bastian! Bastian is not a small forward himself therefore the gravity of the hit is serious.
We can imagine some disciplinary action for the enforcer as it is a hit that is happening far too often and Rempe has a dirty track record from his days in the AHL with the Hartford Wolf Pack.
To be determined whether the NHL DOPS will offer him a hearing.
