The Leafs are set to faceoff against the Vegas Golden Knights tonight in Vegas. It is a highly anticipated matchup in what could potentially be a Stanley Cup Finals preview. Vegas will be missing their captain as Mark Stone is out week-to-weeks, but the Leafs will be getting a major piece back as Morgan Rielly is eligible to return from his suspension.
According to Daily Faceoff, Rielly will be playing on the second pair tonight alongside Jake McCabe.
The 29-year-old defenseman is also set to return to his typical role as the quarterback for the team's top powerplay unit. He will be accompanied by the typical quartet of William Nylander, Mitch Marner, Auston Matthews, and John Tavares.
Daily Faceoff is also showing no changes to the forward group for tonight's game. This should come as no surprise given the team's convincing victory over the Arizona Coyotes with these same lines.
That being said, changes could still come as Sheldon Keefe reserves the right to make last minute changes. Similarly, players could miss the game with minor injuries or other ailments. Be sure to tune in tonight as the Leafs take on the defending Stanley Cup Champions.
