Tortorella is not leaving the Flyers bench according to Darren Dreger
The Philadelphia Flyers are quickly sliding out of playoff contention and with that comes speculation on if John Tortorella will get to stay with them for the 2024-25 season.
The past three weeks have been absolutely disastrous for the Philadelphia Flyers having gone from playoff favorites to playoff long shots in under a month. A large part of this has been inconsistent goaltending which head coach John Tortorella has been quick to call out.
After a 9-3 loss last night to the Montreal Canadiens, John Tortorella's future with the franchise was called into question. Insider Darren Dreger quickly shut down any rumors of a Tortorella departure.
We can all appreciate the speculation. And when it comes to John Tortorella and the stories that follow, there's always speculation. As for his future as head coacha Flyers management source says «Torts is not leaving the bench». He still has the fire... no question about that.
It looks as if Tortorella will be able to keep his job for another season and may stay even longer if he is able to turn the ship around with the Flyers.
