Leafs Prospect Given Huge Honour by OHL Coaches
This time of the year is always exciting as the NHL playoffs are coming, but also at the College level and the CHL as well. At the end of the season, polls are coming out as to which players are the best.
During an annual poll, OHL coaches gave a big honor to Ty Voit, a Leafs' prospect, currently playing for Sarnia Sting in the OHL.
Voit Given Huge Honour by OHL Coaches
Voit, 19, was selected by the Leafs at the fifth round of the 2021 draft. The forward had a great season, with 105 points in 67 games.
Yesterday, he was rewarded for his hard work. OHL coaches elected him as the West's best playmaker in the league.
It's a great achievement for the 5'9'', 150 pounds winger, but it's not surprising.
He excels on the ice. His high hockey IQ, creativity and speed make him one of Toronto's top prospect.
Fans have good reasons to be excited about Voit. He signed his entry-level contract in 2021 and it wouldn't be surprising to see him on the Leafs' lineup next season.
