The return of Toronto Maple Leafs' forward Bobby McMann from his injury was announced by Darren Dreger.

In a post on X, Dreger stated that McMann, who's been dealing with an injury in the last stretch of the regular season, could be back for the fifth or sixth game against the Boston Bruins.

Here's what he shared:

"The Willy watch continues in Toronto as the Leafs hope to even their series with the Bruins on Saturday. Bobby McMann is also being evaluated daily and most definitely hasn't been ruled out for the series. Toronto misses his game, size and speed. Game 5 or 6?"

McMann had an important impact with the Leafs. He scored 15 goals in 56 games this season and brings a lot of size, speed and skills to the team.

When McMann signed his contract, the hockey analyst JFresh said he was "efficient":

"Bobby McMann, signed to a 2x$1.35M extension by TOR, is a utility winger who's created scoring chances and goals at an efficient rate this season. #LeafsForever"

With William Nylander and McMann nearing a return, the Leafs could be in a great position to eliminate the Bruins from the playoffs.

The goalies have made a big difference so far in the first few games. Adding offensive talents such as Nylander and McMann would help the team about that issue.

Updates and details will follow.
