The Maple Leafs have dealt with some tough injury luck as of late, and they've been hit with more bad news for two key blue liners Morgan Rielly and Joel Edmundson.

Toronto have been dealing with the injuries to Mitch Marner and the sudden injury to goaltender Ilya Samsonov, but now Sheldon Keefe has given the fans updates on the situation, with a couple of new disappointing additions to the injury list.

Mitch Marner upgraded to day-to-day. Progressing well, per Keefe.

Morgan Rielly a game-time decision with injury.

Joel Edmundson won't play. He's day to day.

Joseph Woll starts for Leafs.

With a crucial game upcoming on Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils, Keefe has confirmed that both Joel Edmundson and Morgan Rielly are dealing with injuy, with Rielly a game-time decision and Edmundson out for Tuesday's clash.

Neither Rielly nor Edmundson will be out for long, and should both be back to health in the near future, but with a playoff spot all but solidified, it makes sense that Toronto want to give players time to heal. More details will follow with the status of Rielly ahead of the battle against New Jersey.
