William Nylander not playing in Game 2 vs the Boston Bruins
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins will continue their round one series tonight for game two in Boston. However, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reported just moments ago that Leafs star William Nylander will miss the game yet again.
Nylander's health was a major storyline heading into the season as reports surfaced that he had sustained an injury. He has since missed practice with the team. This morning he was a partial participant at morning skate, but did not appear to be playing tonight. That has since been confirmed by Friedman.
Nylander is not out there for Toronto
As a result, the Leafs will have to rely on a lineup that is largely the same as game one. Max Domi and Tyler Bertuzzi will be with Auston Matthews while Mitch Marner and John Tavares will be joined by Matthew Knies on the second line.
Hopefully this roster will perform well enough to get the win, otherwise the Leafs could find themselves in deep trouble as the series moves back to Toronto for game three on Wednesday.
