Is it time to worry about the captain?

Bergeron, has been absent from three out of the last five games due to lingering injuries, and it has fans worried.

As a result, some fans might be concerned about his health and whether he'll be able to perform at his usual level, especially with the playoffs right around the corner.

Fortunately, Bergeron is a seasoned veteran who has dealt with his fair share of injuries over the years. While it's never ideal for a team to have a key player miss time, Bergeron has proven time and again that he's capable of bouncing back and performing at a high level.

It all started on February 23rd when he took a late hit to the head from Rem Pitlick of the Montreal Canadiens. Unfortunately, Bergeron was hit high again four games later, this time from Lane Pederson of the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Due to these injuries, Bergeron has been held out of the team's last two games - a back-to-back against Pittsburgh and St. Louis over the weekend. Head coach Jim Montgomery has revealed that Bergeron is suffering from more than one injury, which is certainly concerning for fans:

''Bergeron's out. Resting nagging injuries here that obviously the cross-check in the ear but he's been dealing with some upper-body and lower-body issues that we'd like to get him some rest on.''

According to Ty Anderson, the Boston Bruins will be taking Tuesday off. While it might seem like a minor detail, this day off could be crucial for players like Bergeron who are dealing with nagging injuries.

At the age of 37, Patrice Bergeron continues to dominate as a forceful two-way forward when he is healthy.
