Wheeler To Face Potentially Career-Ending Injury
The Rangers veteran had to be helped off the ice by his teammates as he could not put any weight on his right leg at all. Considering his age, this type of injury could be career-threatening. If it is as bad as it looked, he could be out for the remainder of the season. Considering that he is on a one-year deal with the Rangers, this means we could have just seen his last game in the NHL. Wheeler has 9 goals and 21 points through 51 games with the Rangers this season. He has 321 goals and 943 career points across 1171 career games played.
