A former NHL player has admitted to sexually abusing a 12-year-old child

According to the Detroit Free Press, former NHL player Reid Boucher, who played for the New Jersey Devils, Nashville Predators, and Vancouver Canucks, pled guilty to sexually assaulting a minor in 2011.
Boucher allegedly abused a 12-year-old girl while a member of the USA Hockey National Team Development Program.
Boucher pled guilty to third degree criminal sexual conduct involving sexual penetration with a person aged 13 to 16 on December 13, 2021 in Washtenaw County Trial Court.
He was supposed to service a 25 years to life sentence but because he plead guilty he will sentence a lesser time.
