Alex Ovechkin Reveals His Son's Surprising Favourite Player
It has to be weird growing up when your father is the greatest player to ever come from your country of 120-million people.
For Sergei Ovechkin, however, this is the only reality he's ever known.
It would thus be expected that his favourite player would be his father, but in an interview, Alex revealed that it is far from the truth!
It appears Sergei's favourite player is none other than Ovi's teammate Nicholas Aubé-Kubel.
NAK, as his fans call him, just played in his 200th NHL game tonight, and was a waiver claim of the Capitals earlier in the season after winning the cup in Colorado and signing in Toronto.
Clearly he's made a good impression if he's outshined one of the best goalscorers in NHL history!
If Sergei ever makes the big leagues, we can hope he'll have the same trajectory as his father, but if he ends up being like the lovable Aubé-Kubel, it'll still be a win!
