Brad Marchand Makes a Surprising Comment About His Rivals the Toronto Maple Leafs
The Boston Bruins vs Toronto Maple Leafs rivalry is one of, if not the best in the league.
The two teams always have a fun matchup, and fans go absolutely crazy for it.
Brad Marchand, who is a modern day Bruins legend and will likely see his number in the rafters at TD Garden one day grew up a Maple Leafs fan.
Now, before a matchup with his childhood team, he gave some surprising comments, swaying away from the rivalry he's supposed to support:
Brad Marchand on the Leafs this morning: "It's a matter of time until they make a really good push and go deep. They're just too talented.
He continued to praise the teams' adaptability:
You have to respect it, but they have definitely gotten better over the last number of years. They brought some D in that are much more defensively responsible, harder to play against, a little more physical and a little bigger. They are definitely improving, they are legit contenders this year.
But, we can't forget, to win the cup, the Leafs will have to get past the red hot Bruins!
