The Chicago Blackhawks are reportedly close to having a deal done for goaltender Marc Andre Fleury.
According to reporter Maxime Truman, Marc Andre Fleury could become a member of the Colorado Avalanche by the end of today.
With the BlackHawks having little chance of making the playoffs and Fleury being a pending UFA at end of the season the Blackhawks are looking to take what they can for Flower.
Marc Andre Fleury a three time Stanley cup champion has said, "I'd love to win the Stanley cup one more time."
Going to the Colorado Avalanche is definitely his opportunity to win that last Stanley Cup. Fleury is 37 so this could also be his last opportunity.
The Avalanche are believed to be trading Tyson Jost and goaltender Pavel Francous as well as a 1st round pick in the 2022 NHL draft to the Chicago Blackhawks for Fleury and possibly a conditional 3rd round pick in 2024 if Fleury re-signs with the Avalanche.
