Connor McDavid to Boycott One of the NHL's Most Popular Events
The NHL All-Star game may not be the pinnacle of the season anymore, as it's lost it's charm over the years, but there are still a few routine events that people always look forward to.
These are hardest shot, accuracy shooting, and fastest skater.
It would be logical that the player who's known to be one of the best skaters in hockey history, Connor McDavid, would take part in the fastest skater event, however, McDavid has shockingly notified the NHL players association that he will refuse to take part in the event for the rest of his career.
Last season, he was edged out by Jordan Kyrou in the competition. Maybe McDavid's ego couldn't handle the defeat? Whatever reason caused this decision, it will be disappointing not to see McDavid go for the fastest skater prize.
