TSN's Darren Dreger has reported that the New Jersey Devils are very interested in acquiring Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson.

As observer Marc-Olivier Beaudoin points out, it's now or never for Hughes to make a move.

The Devils are interested in acquiring Josh Anderson?

I still say it's now or never to trade Anderson. His contract will be heavy when the CH is competitive.

The Devils have an excellent pool of young talent... it's a good fit!" - Marc-Olivier Beaudoin

Despite a slightly more difficult season this season, with nine points in 24 games, Anderson is the kind of player a contending team wants to have - a big guy with an exceptional skating stroke.

At 28 years old, Anderson's salary will count for $5.5 million until 2027 on the Tricolore's payroll, if he isn't traded by then, of course.

Which prospect would you like to see land in Montreal in return for Anderson? Seanus Casey? Nolan Foote? Any draft picks?

File to follow.
