The BC team would be so eager to trade him that the forward's agent has been mandated to find a new team for his client and it seems to be paying off for the moment.
According to TSN's Pierre LeBrun, Boeser is on the radar of six teams that are interested in acquiring him. However, the information shared by LeBrun did not point to the identity of the teams involved.
Certainly, the two years remaining on his $6.65 million contract may be an issue in negotiations. Given that most NHL teams have very little room on their payroll, it could be very difficult for Vancouver to get an extraordinary price for the 25-year-old winger.
This is one of the reasons the Canucks are interested in trading him, as they are currently looking to make room for the next contract of captain Bo Horvat, who will become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
Unfortunately, the Canucks' number 6 has had several significant injuries throughout his career, which has significantly hurt his personal stats. The fact remains that Boeser is an excellent forward with great potential.
If he can stay healthy, he is definitely a 25-goal scorer with over 60 points per season. So far this year, he has 16 points in 20 games.
This will be a hot one to watch between now and the trade deadline.
