Erik Karlsson Abandons His Team and Leaves Game Out of Anger
There are quite a few players in the NHL on pace for a 100-point season. One of these players is the rejuvenated Erik Karlsson, who's on pace for a record-breaking 100-point season.
His 17 goals and 53 assists in 52 games is nothing short of incredible, but, being on a brutal San Jose team has limited him.
During the dying minutes of a 4-1 crushing by the Florida Panthers, Karlsson simply walked out on his team and left for the locker room. You can see him here, with 1:05 left in the game, at the end of a shift, he just shrugged off the coaching staff and left.
After being considered one of the most overpaid players in the league, Karlsson has turned things around. Unfortunately, it isn't enough to make the Sharks good. We will see if he changes destinations in the off-season, as clearly he's growing frustrated with this losing culture.
