Fan Throws Unusual Object onto Ice During Nashville Game
Every hockey team has their own little traditions that make themselves special.
Whether this is Jets fans screaming true north in the Canadian national anthem, or Lightning fans extending their cry for Nikita Kuuuuuuuucherov when he makes the score sheet, these traditions make hockey so much better.
For the Nashville Predators, the team loves to play in to the city's cultural roots. Apart from being the country music capital of the world, it is renowned for its southern cuisine.
One reoccurring theme is a catfish that gets tossed on the ice after every win. Last night, however, the catfish toss went wrong.
In the dying seconds of the second period, with the Preds down 4-0 to the Boston Bruins, a fan launched the catfish right into the play.
Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman made sure to show his displeasure to the catfish when he skated by it, smugly, maintaining his shutout.
If this is the atmosphere in Nashville, something's got to change. If you're the Boston Bruins right now, however, the only thing fishy is Nashville's defense!
