Fans Aggressively Rally Behind Ivan Provorov With a Massive Show of Support
No matter where you stand on the issue of LGBTQ rights, the Ivan Provorov controversy has shaken up the league, and the hockey community.
While some hockey fans will never see Provorov in the same light, many have rallied behind him.
If there was any doubt of the ever-present stigma around the diversification of hockey, this is proof. Hockey fans are just as bigoted and old-fashioned as ever.
Fans have opened their wallets in support of Provorov.
Per The Daily Wire, #10 jerseys have nearly sold out online. If you need any indication of the fans buying these jerseys, while it is sold out in all men's sizes, there is still plenty of stock for women.
The funnier underlying story is that the funds the NHL will get from these sales will directly contribute to the continuing efforts to diversify hockey.
So, ultimately, no matter who the funds are coming from, the direction of the league is still clear.
