John Tortorella takes a jab at the Canucks media
John Tortorella's first season with the Philadelphia Flyers has been a trainwreck. He's delivered a below .500 win % with a less-than-talented team thanks to Chuck Fletcher's help.
For the first time in a while, he provided us with a soundbite after the Ivan Provorov situation.
He complimented Vancouver and the city's surroundings which I'm sure he's familiar with as his tenure in Vancouver, albeit how short his stay was. But he went on to insult the Canucks local media, afterward calling them "Idiots" after being admittedly unsure of what media presence was there.
Tortorella, who unfairly slights the media any chance he gets, utilizes his bully pulpit to express his dissatisfaction with anyone. His unreasonable reaction to a simple question like this one belies a lack of self-awareness and how his coaching time in Vancouver affected the fans and players.
Honestly after healthy-scratching Roberto Luongo and going of on Bob Hartley, he should be viewed as a disgrace during his time there.
