Kent Hughes Top 3 Candidates to replace Dominique Ducharme in Montreal
After making it to the Stanley Cup Final, the Canadiens are having the worst season in their franchise history. To be fair the Canadiens have been dealt bad hand this season with all the injuries as well as players lost via free agency.
However the Canadiens are looking to turn this franchise around having just hired Ken Hughes as the next General Manager, Hughes is going to want mold this team to his vision.
One move that will be almost certain is the replacement of Dominique Ducharme as the Canadiens head coach. With the Canadiens being 32nd in the NHL, it is almost a guarantee that Ducharme will be replaced.

Patrick Roy
He was believed to be the odds on favorite to be named the GM for the Habs including a poll done by fans where Patrick had 42 % of the votes. Roy has coached in the NHL before with the Colorado Avalanche and also with the Quebec Remparts in the QMJHL.
Benoit Groulx
Groulx was one of the most well respected coaches in the QMJHL. Groulx is now the head coach of the Syacruse Crunch in the AHL. He could be an excellent choice for the Canadiens.
Guy Boucher
His name has came up numerous times previously for coaching the Habs. Boucher has coached in the NHL before with the Ottawa Senators and Tampa Bay Lightning. He's been called a player's coach and works well with younger players. Boucher could be the right guy especially with the Habs likely rebuilding.
It is also believed that Kent Hughes wants to add Vincent Lecavalier to his team possibly as the assistant general manager.
The latest spoke on this saying,
"I'm going to let Hughes get acquainted and organized, Kent is going to have a lot of decisions to make. A good general manager knows how to gather good people around him. We are very good friends. If he approaches me, I will think about it."
