Suzuki and Caufield react to Slafkovsky's selection by the Canadiens

RDS reporter Eric Leblanc had the opportunity to speak with Nick Suzuki following the 2022 NHL Draft.

Obviously, Suzuki is very happy with the Habs selection.

It was a great moment, we're excited to add him to our team. I met him in the last few days and he's so tough. I've heard a lot of positive things about him and I know our organization is excited to have drafted him."-Nick Suzuki

Did he hear from Cole Caufield following the Slovak's selection?

"Oh yeah, he texted me immediately! He's really happy with the pick" - Nick Suzuki

It will be interesting to see if he can play on the same trio as Suzuki and Caufield.

"If he's ready, I'm sure the coaches are very attracted to giving him a chance in the lineup to see where he can fit in." - Nick Suzuki
