A Twitter account, followed by nearly 10,000 followers, @iamhockey1, has uncovered a rumour surrounding Montreal Canadiens forward Jonathan Drouin, as well as defenceman Joel Edmundson.
It's obviously information to be taken with a grain of salt, but according to him, Drouin and Edmundson would be traded to Edmonton in an imminent deal.
It's plausible, considering that several rumours in recent weeks have targeted both players in question and the Oilers, but Ken Holland obviously won't be able to accommodate those two salaries, without giving high contracts, in return.
Drouin has eight points in 25 games this season and Edmundson has five in 31.
To be continued.
