The Leafs Are Now Exploring Other Options Due to Chychrun's Injury History
With Jake Muzzin quite possibly never returning to the NHL, TJ Brodie out with injury, and Morgan Rielly playing weak hockey, the Toronto Maple Leafs are somewhat pressed to make a move.
While the team has been tied to Jakob Chychrun for a long time, it has now been reported that they are weary of his injury history, and that they are pursuing other options.
The team could be interested in several defenders, and there are a few prominent names in there.
These names include Kevin Shattenkirk, Vladislav Gavrikov, Luke Schenn, and Carson Soucy.
Schenn would be the funniest add, as the Leafs actually drafted him fifth overall back in 2008.
It will be interesting to see if a deal can be made to bring one of these players to Toronto, and hopefully help the team win a Stanley Cup.
