Kristopher Letang is expected to become an unrestricted free agent next summer. Is he going to stay in Pittsburgh?
In any case, on Tuesday night, Louis Jean reported that the Penguins have made a first offer to their star defensemen. We're talking about a two-year, $5 million-per-season contract.
There were no official agreements, according to the journalist.
The longer it takes, though, the more doubt will sneak into Letang's head, and he may be tempted to test his worth elsewhere, as Louis Jean points out.
One thing is certain: with his current level of performance, he has a decent possibility of obtaining more than what has been offered!
