Top 3 Max Domi trade possibilities
With the second half of the NHL season on the way, teams will decide if they are going to be a playoff team or if this isn't their year and become sellers for the trade deadline.
Then there's those who are legitimate contenders and are looking to add that one or two pieces to put them over. One of those teams looking to sell is the Columbus Blue Jackets, who are out of the playoff picture and looking to deal pending UFA Max Domi.
Domi has been a fan favorite everywhere he's played and could definitely be a huge asset to whoever aquires the playmaker. Here are the top three teams that are believed to be interested in Domi's services.
The Pittsburgh Penguins. The Penguins love picking up rental players for the playoffs especially when they believe they can make a run for the cup. With the way the Penguins have been playing of late with Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, adding Max Domi would definitely help them in the Metropolitan division.
The Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers believe they can battle back into a playoff spot. Ken Holland has been looking to add to the Oilers to help them make the playoffs and Max Domi would fit in nicely in Edmonton and can play on any line. Domi could add some more offense as well as some toughness.
New York Rangers. The Rangers have such a fun, entertaining team, and are starting to look like they could become a complete playoff team. Having Domi and Reeves together would be a nightmare to the opposition. Max Domi can be a huge asset to the Rangers adding him into the mix with Reeves, Kreider and Panarin. Yikes!
