Uncovering the Leafs Next Moves: What Can Fans Expect from Dubas?
Kyle Dubas pulled off the biggest Maple Leafs deadline deal in two decades when he acquired Ryan O'Reilly and Noel Acciari from the St. Louis Blues.
This put out the sentiment that Dubas is truly all-in with this years' group, and rightfully so, as the salary cap will inevitably force this core apart.
Per insider Darren Dreger, Leafland is buzzing:
Leafland is buzzing, as it should be. Sense is, Dubas isn't done, which emphasizes an all-in approach. Kerfoot? Engvall? Holl? Kampf? What collateral does Toronto use for another move? Very curious to see if ROR is a 3c or if there's big league experimenting on the wing.
The Leafs managed not to touch any of their prospects, so another big move could be in the works. Could they maybe pull off Patrick Kane, or even Jakob Chychrun?
Could they be targeting a depth player like Sam Lafferty?
Dubas wants to bring a cup to Toronto, and this looks like the year to do it. It's a very exciting time to be a Leafs fan.
