BREAKING: Boston Bruins Acquire Two Players From Washington Capitals
The Boston Bruins have added their first piece of the season for what should hopefully be an amazing cup run.
The regular season has been incredible for Boston, and hopefully that success will carry over into the playoffs.
In hopes of improving their chances, they have acquired Garnet Hathaway and Dmitri Orlov from the Washington Capitals.
Hathaway and Orlov Head to Boston
Hathaway was raised in New England and grew up a Bruins fan. He provides a great dynamic presence in the bottom six. He should be a perfect fit on a Boston team with very few spots to improve.
Orlov is a strong two-way defenseman with cup pedigree. He will be an elite add to Boston's group.
The Bruins have traded a 2023 1st, 2025 2nd and 2024 3rd, as well as Craig Smith.
The Capitals will retain 50% of Orlov's salary, and the Minnesota Wild will retain an additional 25%.
