The New York Rangers are looking at add some depth for the playoffs and fill the void left with forward Sammy Blais done for the year an injury, sources say they are interested in Canadiens forward Artturi Lehkonen.
Arthur Staples of the Hockey Writers said, " Sources told the Athletic Drury his former boss, Canadiens operations chief Jeff Gorton, have been in contact regarding Lehkonen. The talks are believed to be preliminary."
Lehkonen would be a good fit in New York he's a good two way forward, that could score a few goals and could
Play with fellow Fin Kaappo Kakko if needed, but he's an excellent shutdown player and penalty killer aswell, he's a good bottom six forward.
Lehkonen was great for the Canadiens last season and scored the overtime time winner in game 6 vs the Las Vegas Golden Knights to send the Montreal Canadiens to the Stanley Cup Final.
