According to what Marco D'Amico of Montreal Hockey Now reports, Montreal Canadiens forward Jonathan Drouin is officially on the trade market.
Out of 82 games this season, Drouin has played in just 34. He has scored 20 points. That's not terrible production, the problem is his health.
Drouin had surgery on his wrist before the end of the season and is expected to start training camp in September in good shape.
He has one year remaining on his contract at a salary of $5.5 million per year.
Will Kent Hughes be able to find a partner to trade him? Is buying out the last year of his contract plausible? Let's just say that's not the option we're considering.
