Jonathan Roy, son of NHL legend Patrick, suffered a serious accident while diving in Cozumel Mexico.

"This is me smiling and happy to be alive 3 weeks ago in Cozumel after having 'decompression sickness'. The entire right side of my body was paralyzed as I surfaced after miscalculating the pressure and paying the price. It was probably one of the most intense moments of my life. Heart is racing and so many thoughts are going through my mind like, "Am I going to walk again, Am I going to sing or talk again or what will my life be like now?" tell you I'm beyond grateful to be in one piece. This photo was taken just before entering the decompression chamber for 12 hours and thank goodness, I'm not claustrophobic!
I'm back in Cozumel and after 3 weeks off, I'm back in the water. My first dive was emotional.
I fought my anxiety and pushed the negative thoughts away and had a great dive.
I certainly don't have the confidence I once had, but I have to take baby steps.
This is a simple reminder that whatever your passion is, always take extra precautions, check your stuff well, and take nothing in life for granted.»
